Peddibhotla Law Firm supports the production of the creative and inspiring new film, "For Here or To Go?"

For the last few months the Peddibhotla Law Firm has been consulting with and providing resources to the independent film makers of "For Here or To Go?" The film is a comedy drama set in San Francisco/Bay Area and Mumbai. It's a heartfelt and humorous portrayal of the lives of Indian immigrants in the Silicon Valley. It's a story of ambition and ambivalence, fueled by one's immigration status that characterizes the dilemma of modern cultural displacement. It’s a fresh and unique story never before seen on screen.

The film dramatizes the very real life struggles of Indian immigrants grappling with trying to make a home for themselves in the U.S. amidst so much uncertainty with their immigration status and their livelihood. Our firm was drawn to the film because of the subject matter and its portrayal of several real life incidents including the closure of a "fake university," the struggles of aspiring entrepreneurs who are limited because of their immigration status, and hate crimes committed against a South Asians, among others.

The film stars several experienced and up and coming talented actors including: Omi Vaidya (3 idiots), Ali Fazal (3 idiots, Fukrey), Amitosh Nagpal (Dabangg, Besharam), Rajit Kapur (Making of the Mahatma, Well done Abba) and Melanie Kannokada (Ms. India - America, Love Lies and Seeta).
